Welsh-language digital workshop: Learning to perform your creative work
6.00 – 7.30 pm
Please note: this is a Welsh-language digital taster course.
What is the process of transferring creative work from the page to the stage? What kind of style, voice or content lend themselves to being performed? Join Rebecca Wilson for a lively session that will inspire you to write a piece to be performed, whether that be a monologue, a poem, an essay, or a piece of prose. Rebecca will also share helpful techniques to grab your audience’s attention by discussing the importance of breath, movement and pauses. Whether you are a performer who wants to write, or a writer who wants to develop your performance skills, this session will be sure to motivate and inspire you and increase your confidence in the fields of writing and performance.
You’re welcome to bring an example of your own creative writing to the workshop to perform, or alternatively a piece of writing which means something to you.
Resources will be provided with this workshop to extend your study, help you with further writing, and point you towards publication opportunities in this form.
