We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Iwan Ellis Jones to Tŷ Newydd on work experience, in partnership with RNIB Cymru. Iwan is a student at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor, Pwllheli, studying Business Administration. Here is an account of his work experience:

“Although my time with Tŷ Newydd was short, I have learned so much about Welsh poetry and creative writing. I was on work experience here for five weeks and I saw the work and the dedication that the staff put in to the work here. They offer a wide variety of courses and welcome any and all who would like to come here. The location is also very breathtaking. Tŷ Newydd is located in a beautiful woodland area far away from the noises and distractions of a city or town which makes it perfect for those who want to focus on their writing without any distractions. The calm and peaceful surroundings will help any creative person express their artistic mind and produce some fantastic work. I highly recommend that you take part in one of the many fantastic courses that they offer here and see for yourself. You won’t regret it.”
