Novel Writing Retreat: Revive your fiction
This tutored novel-writing retreat, led by award-winning author Ingrid Persaud will provide you with the time and space to focus on your writing, away from day-to-day distractions. Whether you already have a first draft of a novel and need support with edits, are starting out and unsure how to plot your next steps or need guidance on how to bring your characters to life, this retreat will offer you the inspiration and practical advice you need.
During the mornings you’ll gather for a group workshop to help you sharpen your craft, generate new ideas and writing, and boost your confidence as an author. Key themes will include structure, viewpoint, voice and steps towards publication. Afternoons will be made up of bespoke 30-minute one-on-one tutorials with your resident tutor who will offer supportive and pinpointed advice on how to take your novel to the next level.
When not in session or writing, you can enjoy walks in the beautiful landscape of northwest Wales, enjoy a range of local wild swimming spots, curl up with a book or simply spend time dreaming and thinking. Most of all, you’ll be offered a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and productivity.
For those wishing to discuss their work in detail, we ask that you please submit the beginning of your novel (up to 2000 words) prior to the course to allow your resident tutor sufficient time to give each submission due care and attention.
