Born in London and brought up in Ffynnon Taf, Malachy Edwards now lives on Anglesey. His first creative non-fiction memoir, Y Delyn Aur, was published by Gwasg y Bwthyn in November 2023, and the book reached the 2024 Wales Book of the Year Award shortlist. In this book, Malachy explores his mixed race, multicultural and religious identity while tracing his family history in Ireland and Barbados. The sequel, Paradwys Goll, was published in October 2025. As well as writing books, Malachy is also a columnist for Golwg magazine.
