Additional Bursary for our Mentored Retreat: Break ground with your short-form fiction
About this bursary
This bursary is made possible by the generosity of Mr David Lloyd.
The bursary is to the value of £250, to be used towards the below nominated writing course at Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre. This particular bursary is open to writers of any age and any identity who might not otherwise be able to attend a course of its type. There is also an additional £100 available to aid with transportation costs, details of which will be shared with the successful applicant upon receiving the bursary.

Mentored Retreat: Break Ground with your Short-Form Fiction

This year’s bursary supports a writer to attend this mentored retreat with Cynan Jones.

Criteria
Please note the following eligibility criteria:
– Applicants may be of any age or identity but priority will be given to writers who would otherwise find it difficult to attend the course.
– First consideration will be given to writers who are working on fiction in which ‘power of place’ features strongly.
– Bursaries are restricted to one per person per year, and applicants who have not previously received a bursary in the past will be prioritised.
– These bursaries are for writers to attend a pre-nominated creative writing course at Tŷ Newydd. The decision as to which course is made by the provider of the bursary, David Lloyd.
