Our own postcode doesn’t lead you directly to the Centre. Use LL52 0SL instead, and then once you’re in the village – follow the brown tourist signs to the centre or follow the instructions below.
Traveling from the south along the A487:
After passing Porthmadog, follow signs to Cricieth and Pwllheli. Drive all the way through the town of Cricieth, and follow the road towards Pwllheli for a mile.
Turn right into the village of Llanystumdwy, and take the second right before the small bridge over the river. It will lead you past parked cars onto a narrow road under a canopy of trees.
After 500 meters, turn right at the white gate and stone pillars, and follow the drive up to Tŷ Newydd.
Traveling from the north along the A487:
From Caernarfon, follow the A487 for 12 miles until you reach Bryncir. Drive through Bryncir, and take a right after exiting the village towards Cricieth on the B4411.
Drive for 2.5 miles, and take another right towards Llanystumdwy after passing through Rhoslan. Follow the road until you get to a Give Way sign, and turn left into the village of Llanystumdwy. Follow the road through the village, and turn left after crossing the small bridge over the river. It will lead you past parked cars onto a narrow road under a canopy of trees.
After 500 meters, turn right at the white gate and stone pillars, and follow the drive up to Tŷ Newydd.

Various bus companies operate a service to Llanystumdwy, Cricieth and the surrounding areas.
Nearest stations: Cricieth (2 miles) and Bangor (25 miles).
We can assist those travelling to Bangor train station by organising shared taxi transportation for you and your fellow course participants on the first day of a course. We can organise transport back to Bangor on the last day of the course. For those traveling to Cricieth, we can organise pick ups from 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm on the first day, and drop offs for 9.30 am on the last day.
Nearest airports: Liverpool John Lennon (105 miles) and Manchester International Airport (113 miles).
Please let us know upon booking on to a course if you would like us to arrange a taxi for you from Bangor or Cricieth, or anywhere else. Unfortunately the cost of this will not be covered by the cost of the course but we will try to keep costs down by grouping participants in same taxi trips.
